Basics Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot. Place the SIM or USIM card on the tray with the gold-coloured contacts facing downwards. Gently press the SIM or USIM card into the tray to secure it. If the card is not fixed firmly into the tray, the SIM card may leave or fall out of the tray. Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

Basics Insert the ejection pin into the hole on the tray to loosen the tray. Ensure that the ejection pin is perpendicular to the hole. Otherwise, the device may be damaged. Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot. When you remove the tray from the device, the mobile data connection will be disabled.
Do not remove the memory card while the device is transferring or accessing information. Doing so can cause data to be lost or corrupted or damage to the memory card or device. Samsung is not responsible for losses that result from the misuse of damaged memory cards, including the loss of data.
Basics Formatting the memory card A memory card formatted on a computer may not be compatible with the device. Format the memory card on the device. On the Home screen, tap Apps → Settings → Storage → SD card → Format → FORMAT. Before formatting the memory card, remember to make backup copies of all important data stored in the memory card.

Settings Using the mobile hotspot Use your device as a mobile hotspot to share your device’s mobile data connection with other devices. On the Settings screen, tap Mobile hotspot and tethering → Mobile hotspot. Tap the switch to activate it. icon appears on the status bar.
Settings Limiting data usage Set the device to automatically disable the mobile data connection when the amount of mobile data you have used reaches your specified limit. On the Settings screen, tap Data usage and tap the Set mobile data limit switch to activate it.
Settings NFC and payment Introduction Your device allows you to read near field communication (NFC) tags that contain information about products. You can also use this feature to make payments and buy tickets for transportation or events after downloading the required apps. The device contains a built-in NFC antenna.
Settings Making payments with the NFC feature Before you can use the NFC feature to make payments, you must register for the mobile payment service. To register or get more information about the service, contact your service provider. On the Settings screen, tap NFC and payment, and then tap the switch to activate it.
