As a result, postcard size will, as an example, produce a print with a resolution of 6.3 lp/mm, which is close to the limits of visual acuity in humans.
  • Page 8 High-precision white balance with six preset positions and manual white balance In the PowerShot G2, the screen is divided into tens of thousands of blocks. White balance data is gathered from each of the blocks, then white balance adjustment is performed on each block, allowing for extremely precise control.

  • Page 11 Four settings for the number of recording pixels Since the number of CCD pixels has been increased to 3.95 million effective pixels with the PowerShot G2, there are now four possible settings for the number of recording pixels: Large, Middle 1, Middle 2, and Small.
  • Page 12 Direct print function when connected to a dedicated printer (the CP-10 card photo printer) The PowerShot G2 includes a direct print mode that makes it possible to easily produce high-quality prints simply by connecting the PhotoShot G2 to Canon’s CP-10 card photo printer via a special cable.
  • Page 13 Because the body of the PowerShot G2 includes a molded grip of an appropriate size, the feel of the grip of the camera while shooting pictures has been improved. Furthermore, the strap is now connected to the camera on both sides, not just on one side as with the PowerShot G1.
