SELF CLEANING Amazing coffee needs quality beans brewed at the right temperature, but the taste of the water is also a critical factor. While bottled water is ozonated clean, water coolers often pick up off-tastes from buildup of bacteria. The autmomatic self cleaning system is designed to preserve the original bottled water quality and eliminate bacterial biofilm buildup in the cold water tank, the 5 gallon bottle and the internal waterways.

INITIAL INSTALLATION 1. Place the water cooler upright. 2. Locate the water cooler on a hard and level surface in a cool shaded location near a grounded wall outlet. NOTE: Do NOT plug in the power cord yet. 3. Position the water cooler so the back is at least 4 inches from the wall and there are at least 4 inches of clearance on both sides.

Wait a few seconds for the coffee to start pouring. After the coffee is finished, wait a few seconds for the system to completely discharge the remaining drops of coffee from the capsule.
DESCALING YOUR WATER COOLER Your coffee brewer water cooler has a low watt density, external hot water tank heater. It has a larger area to spread heat compared to the ordinary internal water heating el- ements found in other water coolers. You may experience a gradual buildup of mineral scale or calcium deposits, depending on the mineral content of your water.

Fill a bucket or empty 5-gallon water bottle with solution of white vinegar. For pro- portions, refer to “Descaling Solutions” section. 1. Open door and slide the bottle out. 2. Remove the suction probe from the bottle: • Pull the suction probe straight up until it’s completely out of the bottle. • Hang the probe on the door to prevent contamination. 3.

7. Submerge the suction probe in water and wash it by hand if dirty. Rinse it properly by submerging it in water. 8. Use a spray bottle to spray the dispensing nozzles of the water faucets with a mild bleach solution (1 teaspoon of Stainless Steel unscented bleach in 12 oz of water).
The outputs for the other cup sizes will be adjusted accordingly. NOTE: This model (8LCH-KKSCSSS5HW) has memory chip to retain your settings. To return to factory settings unplug the power cord and plug back again after 3 sec- onds, Hold “PREHEAT” and “UNLOCK” at the same time.
TROUBLESHOOTING Wet out of the box: Your machine was functionally tested using sterile, reverse osmosis filtered water. A small quantity of water was left in the cooler after testing. During transportation some water may have leaked out. This will not affect the ma- chine’s operation.

Can’t close the lid 1. The cup holder may be mounted incorrectly. Please make sure the triangular arrow is facing up. 2. Check if the spring in the lid is blocked by debris. Noisy ozone and water pumps Reasonable noise is normal. The ozone is distributed by an air pump. Water is deliv- ered by a water pump.

If the coffee capsule is pierced more than once, the upper needle can get NOTE: clogged with coffee grounds. Use a paper clip to clean it out. Blockage of passageways - Important When the brewer is operated properly, it does not get blocked. If the same coffee cap- sule is used more than once it may create blockage.
Image to the left shows the basket that holds the coffee capsule. The needle that pierces through the plastic bottom is shown. It is not a tube, but rather a U-shaped channel. The bottom is sealed. To clean it, use a straightened paper clip to get the coffee grounds out.
