    Displaying a histogram A histogram is a graph showing the brightness of the pixels contained in an image. The horizontal axis shows the brightness, and the vertical axis shows the number of pixels. Displaying a histogram during recording or playback lets you determine the proper exposure.

    Metering mode Mode dial: /S/A/M/SCN/ This function enables you to select the metering mode to suit the shooting conditions and purpose. Multi-pattern metering (No indicator) The image is divided into multiple regions and metering is performed for each region. The camera judges the subject position and background brightness, and determines a well-balanced exposure.
