Page 7: Getting Started
Set the correct voltage for your area with the VOLTAGE SELECTOR switch on the back panel of the CA-V888T. Use a screwdriver to rotate the selector so the number the arrow is pointed at is the same as the voltage. -

STANDBY The display comes on and the STANDBY indicator goes out. The CA-V888T comes on ready to continue in the mode it was in when the power was last turned off. If the last thing you were doing was listening to a tape in Deck B, you are now ready to listen to a tape again in Deck B, or you can change to another source. -

Before Using the Video CD Player (important!) Setting TV system The CD player of the CA-V888T can play back video CDs or CD graphic discs (CD-G) as well as audio CDs. Before enjoying video CDs or CD graphic discs, you must select NTSC, PAL or PAL AUTO system according to your TV system. - Page 24 Disc marker The CA-V888T’s Video CD Player has an Automatic Changer with 3 disc trays. To put an 8 cm CD into a tray, insert it so that it is aligned with the groove in the tray’s center. “OPEN” appears in the display when a tray opens, and “CLOSE” when a tray closes. If a tray is open when the CA-V888T switches to Standby mode, the tray is closed automati- cally. -

SELECT The Unit plays the tracks in the order you have programmed them. If you try to program a 33rd step, the CA-V888T lets you know that the program is full by displaying the message “FULL” on the display. If you try to program an disc tray that is empty, or a track number that does not exist on a disc (for example, selecting track 14 on a disc that only has 12 tracks), the selected disc or track are skipped when the program is played. -
