This "User Manual" explains the camera installation, settings and operations. Read this document carefully before using the
camera to ensure correct use. In addition, please be sure to read the next section, "Safety Precautions and Handling

Be sure to read these instructions in order to operate the product safely. Follow these instructions to prevent injury or harm
to the operator of the product or others.
Failure to follow the instructions may result in death or serious injury.

Installation
Request a professional installer for all installation work.
Never try to install the product yourself. Doing so may result in unforeseen accidents such as dropping the camera or
electric shock. For installation or inspection of this camera, consult the dealer where you purchased the product.
Wiring work such as power supply and network should be carried out safely and securely in accordance with the relevant
regulations.
Do not install the product in a location where there is the risk of ignition or combustion.
Installing the product in a location where flammable gases are produced or concentrated may cause ignition and result in
fire.
Do not install the product in unstable places, places subject to significant vibration or impact, or places subject to salt damage
or corrosive gas.
When installing the product in an elevated location, make sure to take appropriate measures in advance to prevent the
equipment and parts from falling off.
Be sure to attach a safety wire when installing in a high place.
Depending on the installation location, install in such a way that sufficient holding strength can be secured.
Make sure that the mounting location and brackets and screws used for the mounting are capable of withstanding the total
weight.
Failure to do so may result in the product falling or other accidents.
Do not install the product in locations subject to high temperatures, such as places exposed to excessive heat, near heat-
generating objects, or in confined or enclosed places.
When installed outdoors, attach the included connector cover and protect the connection of the cover and a commercially
available wiring hose using a commercially available cable protecting cover to prevent the intrusion of rain, etc.
When thunder starts to sound, stop installation or inspection, etc., and do not touch the camera, connection cable, etc.
Failure to follow the instructions may result in fire or electric shock.
Do not use the product for medical devices or other life-support systems.
Canon will assume no liability for any accident or damage resulting from use of the product under the conditions above.
Power Supply
Connect the power cable securely by inserting the plug fully into the camera correctly on one end, and properly wiring the
other end.
Failure to follow the instructions may result in fire or electric shock.
Do not connect or disconnect the power cable or plug with wet hands.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
Do not leave the product plugged in for extended periods of time in locations exposed to high levels of dust, moisture or oily
smoke.
Doing so may cause insulation failures and even fires.
