Understanding the indicators on the base unit STATUS indicator During the startup process you may notice that the STATUS indicator on the base unit is flashing. This indicates that the base unit is booting up with your phone system. You may find the following flash patterns helpful: Status Color...
Getting Started Handset status indicators The handset status indicators on the base unit show the status of each handset as follows: Status Meaning Light off The handset is free. Light on The handset is in use. Flashing The handset is paging the base unit or being paged by it.

Making and Answering Calls using the Handset Answering calls When a call is being received, the ringer indicator on the handset flashes rapidly. The last 4 digits of the line number on which the call is being received are displayed. Lift the handset and press {CALL}, {C}, or {s} when the unit rings.
Call waiting This feature allows you to receive calls while you are already talking on the phone. If you receive a call while on the phone, the 2nd caller’s information is displayed on the handset that is in use after you hear the interrupt tone (page 27). The feature depends on your phone system.

During an outside call, press {MENU}. {V}/{^}: “Conference” i {SELECT} Dial the phone number. L To correct the number, press {CANCEL} to clear the number and enter again. Caller ID features When an outside call is being received, the caller’s information is displayed. Caller information for the last 100 callers is logged in the caller list from the most recent call to the oldest.

Intercom Features Intercom features between handsets Intercom Intercom calls can be made between handsets. L When paging the handset, the paged handset beeps for 1 minute.
Note: L If the other handset user does not answer the call within 1 minute, the call rings at your handset again. Answering a transferred call Press {C} to answer the page. Note: L After the paging party disconnects, you can talk to the outside caller.
Intercom Features Transferring calls Outside calls can be transferred between the handset and base unit. Y Handset During an outside call, press {MENU}. {V}/{^}: “Intercom” i {SELECT} {V}/{^}: Select the base unit. i {CALL} Wait for the paged party to answer. L If the paged party does not answer, press {C} to return to the outside call.

Troubleshooting If you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit’s AC adaptor, then reconnect the base unit’s AC adaptor. Remove the batteries from the handset, and then insert the batteries into the handset again. General use Problem The unit does not work.
